Bio/Education/Affiliations

Annie grew up on the wide-open plains of Oklahoma. After finishing college and graduate school, she migrated further west living in Oregon, Washington & California before finally landing in the Great Southwest. She gained formal art training in the BFA program at Oregon State University majoring in painting and art history. Memories of prairies, broad skies and lush gardens find their expression in her paintings through color, texture and pattern. Working at times in oil and other times in acrylic, adding texture with charcoal, graphite, crayon or collage, she creates spontaneous images on canvas, board, and paper adding texture by drawing, scratching and erasing surfaces.

She has appeared in numerous shows in the Southwest and her work is in private collections in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, St. Louis, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana.
